Jason Dread made his rise to the top even faster than Mayhem. However, he spent his time in the lower ranks as well. After spending a long time in a feud with Toad for the Hard*core title, which was not well advertised and well below the true ability of both men. He persevered, however, earning a shot at Dan Rivero and the television title. Dread captured the gold, but lost it one month later right back to Rivero. But his willingness to work with the company, as well as his hard work in another company, Dread earned his shot at the top. He helped Octavian defeat Mayhem, and ended up feuding with another veteran, Badger Benandanti. The resulting series of matches proved most interesting, and has resulted in Dread landing himself a spot in the main event, fighting for the Heavyweight Championship of the World. Dread is a talented young man, there’s no doubt about it. But it is his perseverance and work ethic that has brought him to the top. Of course, there are many young stars in GCW on their way up the ranks. Jeff Wylde, Jonny Montano, Luke Hanson, Toxic, Mike Hardy, Chameleon, Twisted, and Misdirection are just a few of the hot newcomers on their way to their top. Do they have what it takes? Yes. But do they want it bad enough? Only time will tell. |
