A lot of the guys in
the ACWF sucked. Not much good
talent. The ACWF had guys like the
Rock (now known as Octavian), Khan (Khan), Jeff Hardy (Mike Hardy), and others.
To be honest, none of us were that great.
I waited for the first card with great anticipation.
I was entered into a battle royal for the Hard*core title.
I had improved, and even thought I might win it.
I did well, but was tossed out by the guy that ended up winning the damn
thing. It was with disappointment
that I skimmed the main event.
I was surprised when I read as Steven Caldera walked down the ramp and
interrupted the main event. I
nailed Dero with a chair and took off. So
began the biggest and only feud in the ACWF I would experience.
A world title tournament would take place at the first PPV, Deadly
Decisions. To qualify, Caldera had
to defeat Big Daddy Dero in a steel cage match.
I was worried to say the least, as it was obvious that Dero was carrying
the company, so to speak. But my
psychology was developing, and I was quickly becoming the hottest heel in the
ACWF. That night, Steven Caldera
defeated Dero in the cage match (with some help) and advanced to the world title
tournament.
Finally, the big night arrived. Steven
Caldera was going into the tournament undefeated (that’s right) and facing a
mystery opponent in the first round. Everyone
anticipated the opponent to be Dero. But
no, Danger threw in a wild card, and Caldera faced. . . THE JHUB!
Caldera dispensed of the Jhub in the Jhub’s second ACWF match, and
moved on.
My second round opponent was the Heckler, another of Danger’s established heels. It was a close match, but Caldera pulled it out. He moved on to the main event. The Lord Of Illusions was slated to face me in the finals, but Caldera took him out before the match (with some help) and had no opponent. Or that’s what he thought. Danger appointed a replacement. . . You guessed it. Dero and I fought with great intensity, but in the end, Mr. Danger dropped Dero with a chair, made the three count, and handed Steven Caldera the ACWF world title. We were heels, and loving it. I had come from crap to World Champ in four weeks. I was good.
