What exactly does it take to make it in GCW? You’ve got to have talent, desire, passion, and a certain killer instinct in order to make it big time. And who better exemplifies this than some of the new additions to the GCW roster?

Take Johnny Montano for example. A newcomer who just impressed the world by competing and winning in his first ever Pay-Per-View outing with the company. He defeated Jeff Wylde, yet another impressive new star. Both men arrived in the company with one idea in mind; to make an impact. And that’s what it all boils down to. Both Montano and Wylde are highly skilled in the ring. But when the sun sets and the smoke is cleared, the guy who comes out on top is usually the guy who wants it more.

So who in GCW wants to be successful more than anyone? There’s no doubt that everyone on the roster wants to make it big some day. But two young new stars have emerged into the world, and have shown each and every GCW fan and staff member just how badly they want to be at the top of the game. Jason Dread and Tristain Mayhem.

Both men are hot new stars, though Mayhem has been with the company longer than Dread. Tristain Mayhem’s journey to the top truly exemplifies the meaning of passion and work ethic. He started off at the bottom of the barrel, trying his hardest to work his way to the top. However, his talent was recognized, and he began to move. However, to truly make it to the top, you have to prove more than your talent. You have to prove that you’re a team player, and that you’re willing to make some sacrifices. Mayhem lost to Toxic at Annihilation, setting up LeStatt Night against Mayhem at Heatwave the next month. Mayhem’s willingness to lose to the youngster Toxic helped him to continue on his way up, as he defeated LeStatt Knight the following month, after defeating the immortal Jhub for the United States championship.

Mayhem didn’t lose for several months, racking up an impressive winning streak. But he had to take the journey to success one step at a time. After his feud with Knight, Mayhem drew the impressive task of taking on veteran Rich ‘The Renegade’ Rollins at FallOut. Mayhem was unable to claim victory after the interjection of the local police, but was not defeated. He moved on to be pinned by Toxic once more, losing his US title before taking on Octavian at Devil’s Night. Mayhem was then screwed by Mr. Danger, resulting in an interesting fact; Octavian has only been pinned by two men, Toxic and Octavian.

Mayhem is by far one of the most talented athletes in GCW. But it is his combination of desire and sacrifice that has lead him to the top, and will ensure his spot in GCW history for ages to come.
